Hi everyone,

Thanks so much to those of you who have purchased a copy of my new album “Tokyo”. Every purchase that goes through my website directly supports me and is very much appreciated! In my website shop https://www.pennyikinger.com/product/tokyo/ you can order the Australian version of this album (released on Off The Hip Records, Australia) and the Japanese version (released on Kerosene Records, Japan). Both versions are different from each other in the audio, the artwork and the liner notes. There are also some other merch delights including plectrums and tote bags which I hope to expand on in the future.

I am pleased to say I have received some great reviews for “Tokyo” from Australia:

I have some other shows coming up. Here is some info from the press releases:

FRIDAY 26th OCTOBER:

Penny Ikinger will perform with Jack Howards’ EPIC BRASS on Friday, 26 October 2018 from 19:30-23:00 at Memo Music Hall, 88 Acland Street, St Kilda, Victoria 3182

Tickets · $23-$39 www.trybooking.com

The fabulous JACK HOWARD and big band return to MEMO with his mighty EPIC BRASS show!

Jack Howard’s Epic Brass is a celebration and exploration of the great horn hits and hidden gems of Australian rock – from Hunters and Collectors and the Oils to The Saints and Wet Taxis, the show features an incredible set list of killer brass tunes.

Two of the legends of Australian music will be joining in the fun this time around! The fabulous Deborah Conway will be singing a Do Re Mi classic and a couple of other tunes. Deb is one of the most powerful and riveting performers in the country and we are rapt to have her on board. A genuine trailblazer. And on drums and percussion alongside Ash Davies, none other than the mighty Rob Hirst from The Oils will be flying down to play. Rob joined us on stage in Sydney in June and it was seriously brilliant.

Jack played trumpet and arranged the iconic horn lines for H & C; and along the way he’s played with The Violent Femmes, Rodriguez, You Am I, The Living End and a host of others.

Throughout 2017, Jack toured the world with Midnight Oil as their trumpeter/multi-instrumentalist. He’s a busy guy!

The Epic Brass band is sensational and features a cracking four-piece horn section. Jack is also joined by a terrific cast of guest singers – Ron Peno (Died Pretty), Paulie Stewart (Painters and Dockers), Steve Lucas from X, Penny Ikinger (Wet Taxis) and Melbourne sensation Fiona Lee Maynard, bring their style and their energy to this uniquely powerful show.

Have a look and a listen here and you’ll start to understand why this show has been knocking everyone out wherever it goes!
