Penny Ikinger be hosting a special chat with Bruce “Cub” Callaway this Friday at The Odeon in Richmond. Bruce is a true legend of the Australian independent music scene with over 40 years of experience as a songwriter, singer, guitarist, and producer.

Bruce has played guitar with iconic bands like The Saints and The New Christs (with Rob Younger), before forming his own band to showcase his original songs. As a producer, he’s worked on internationally acclaimed albums for Ed Kuepper, The Triffids, Louis
Tillett, and Damien Lovelock, and played guitar in Damien Lovelock’s Wigworld band.

Still active today, Bruce formed the Hovering Spooks in Sydney with members of Lime Spiders, The Sunny Boys, and Celibate Rifles. He also performs with an updated version of The Révolutionnaires alongside some of Australia’s finest musicians.

He’ll be performing solo, and Penny Ikinger will be sitting down with him to chat about his incredible career. Rumour has it they’ll be performing a duet together as well…
