X Bushfire Relief benefit.

X is happy to be able to announce this event in conjunction with the good people from The Spotted Mallard. X will be represented by the same team that so impressed Sydney audiences last year.

We are also pleased to be able to include The Penny Ikinger Band, Hearts & Rockets plus Dog.

“I will be playing this show with Sam Billinghurst-Walsh – guitar, Jason McGann – drums, Tim McCormack – bass, Julian Held – guitar, and Ryan Oliver – keyboards. We recently launched a split vinyl 7” single with Baby 8, on Fantastic Mess Records. Speaking of early Australian rock, this release featured my recording of the Divinyls classic: “Boys in Town”. We will be performing this and a couple of other Australian underground rock classics (including songs by musicians already mentioned in this post), as well as some of my own, at X’s Bushfire Relief Benefit at The Spotted Mallard in Brunswick on Sunday 16th February. There will be more announced. Doors open at 3.pm.

Bands will run from 4.00 pm until 10.00 pm

The funds raised will go to The Red Cross Appeal. The idea of X and Red Cross seemed to be a fated choice with a touch of irony.

Ticket price will run on a donation based option, depending on what you can afford to give.

$20 minimum with a sliding scale of $40 and $80.00 donations. The choice is yours.
