Expect breathy vocals mixed with a guitar onslaught of post-punk attack, swingin’ 60’s attitude and 70’s guitar experimentation. Melbourne’s best kept secret, Winter Sun, will be opening the show. They are as heavy as the moon. Oceanic bass lumbers under gargantuan guitar. Drums soar from percussion to mechanical beats. Sledgehammer dynamics won’t let the songs settle until their climactic resolution. But it’s the lush melodies, harmonies and heartbreaking hooks that keep this band in orbit.
